Jordan McKay Rowley, 14, competed in a bagpipe competition this past weekend at the annual Ventura, CA, Scottish Highland Games. Rowley, who has played the pipes since age 9 under the instruction of Campbell Naismith, won first place while competing against almost 20 pipers from around the United States. He played a “Piobaireached,” a slow, long Scottish tune.
