The Metro Cup is coming up fast and the qualifier for the event for the
Grade 1 and Open will be on Sunday December 10, 2006 at the Tara Circle
in Yonkers. This was the old Elizabeth Ann Seton College for any of you
familiar with the area. The address is 1097 North Broadway Yonkers NY 10701.

All grades of solo piping will be offered. Piobaireachd will only be offered
for the grade 1 and Open contest. Grades 2,3 and 4 will be light music only.
However for a change of pace, there will be 6/8 march contests offered if
the numbers are there. This is a good opportunity for the lower grade competitors
to see what it takes to get up into the upper grade and what the requirements
are. Please take advantage of this as it is in your local area.
There may also be a Drum Major’s workshop if the response is good. This
will be run by D/M Chuck Kaba and D/M Maureen Baile . This is a good opportunity
for your band to send your Drum Major to this workshop even if it is only
to sharpen up his/her street skills.
