Two ‘giants’ of the Irish music scene will feature in what could prove to be the Éigse Carlow Arts Festival’s most exciting musical programme yet.

One of those gargantuan figures is the irrepressible Dublin singer-songwriter Damien Dempsey and the other is a man who has cemented his place in the pantheon of traditional Irish musicians over four hugely successful decades in the business.

Renowned uillean piper Liam O’Flynn has peddled his wares on the national and international scene since the 60s and the host of international names he has played and collaborated with pay testament to his legacy.
