Summer 2007 Workshop with Christoph Kresse and Mark Elliot - Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Ma’at International dance Arts and Altona Records studio at the Solteria Studios at Poe Mill, downtown Greenville, SC.
The workshop will cost $20.00 in pre-registration, $35.00 at the door. Participants will have to organize
their own meals for the day. Water bottles will be available for $1.00 in the studio.
The workshop will offer the following topics:
- Brushing up on your finger technique
- Working on 6/8 marches, MSR/H,J/Piob. (subjects might change depending on player levels of the participants).
- Performance Tips
- Bagpipe Maintenance
- Bagpipe Physics (Pipers in the Material World & Tuning Bagpipes at the Speed of Sound) lecture by Mark Elliott
The workshop will start at 09:30am, with a lunch break at 12.00pm, and continues until 05:00pm.
A teacher and student recital will be held at 07:30pm in the gallery space of the Solteria Studios. If you would like to perform, please contact me by June 15th.
An unofficial “pub crawl” in Greenville will end the workshop.
As student class size for the workshop will be limited to only 16 pipers I need to have your reservation by June 15th, 2007. Pre-registration, $20.00, at the door, $35.00
