Special Competition Confined to Scottish Residents 

AS part of the Highland Year of Culture Glenmorangie Tain Highland Gathering, on Thursday 9th August, is holding the “Glenmorangie Tain Scottish Championships” in Piping - Highland Dancing and Heavy Events- There is a *trophy plus £350 prize money for the best competitor in Piping.  The competition is open to all age groups for competitiors resident in Scotland for the past 15 months, to encourage them to take part in Scottish Events at Tain Games. This is being held over and above the usual competitions. ie Local competitions for residents in Sutherland and Ross-shire, and open competitions open world-wide competitiors. Locals can enter all three!Local Starts at 11am; Scottish from 12 noon and open from 1pm.Pipers will be asked to play medely set of their own choice.* Subject to min entry of  6 competitors.  Depending on entry, runner up prize and other fun may be awarded at disretion of the judge/s.Entry Free - Pay at the gate and present entry ticket to enter. Free food and refreshment for all competitors.
