For decades, the John Ford Highland Pipe Band has braved frequently frigid temperatures at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, traditionally held the Saturday before the holiday. This year, the band will join the St. Louis Highland Guard, St. Louis Caledonian Pipe Band and bagpipers from the Quad Cities to create a 60-musician band.
