In October 1998, The Wallace Pipe Band was founded. The majority of members from other bands and have proven their abilities in the past. Obviously, as many association has experienced , The Wallace Pipe Band also was not spared from problems in the establishment . These problems were solved by the determination and ability of the founding members in a quick and easy way .

The Belgian Blend Pipe Band vzw is a quality grade 3 competition tire associated with the RSPBA . You can invariably see us compete in national and international competitions and win several prizes. In addition, we provide all kinds of performances, ranging from parades, fairs and festivals, to weddings, birthdays or neighborhood parties and this in formations of a solo piper, mini band or the entire group.

The band, which was previously known as the MacGregor Highlanders, was founded in 1991, and was at the time under the leadership of John MacGregor. The Band’s second P/M was Gustav Henriksson, who succeeded John after he moved to Tallinn in September 1997. After Gustav moved to Sweden in September 2000, Annukka Matilainen took over as P/M. Eevastiina Korri is the current Pipe Major, since 1.2.2006.

The band is recruited from the entire Hohenlohe area. So - roughly speaking - along the A6, between the Weinsberg and Feuchtwangen-Crailsheim motorway junctions and beyond. Our western band members come from the Kraichgau, we continue east via Heilbronn, Mainhardt, Schwäbisch Hall, Ilshofen to Langenburg in the north, from there to Crailsheim via Dinkelsbühl (Bavaria) to Heidenheim an der Brenz. Our southernmost band members are far away from Hohenlohe, almost in Upper Swabia, in Bad Saulgau. The band covers a one-way distance of over 800 km,
