Museums and attractions across Scotland are preparing for the second national Jacobite Festival from August 16 to 24, co-ordinated by the Battle of Prestonpans (1745) Heritage Trust.

The group are marking the occasion by opening their museum in Prestonpans Town Hall every day throughout festival week.

The entirety of the Prestonpans Tapestry will be on display alongside an exhibition featuring eye-witness testimony from the battle.
