Scottish Celebration in Heart of the Hunter

Scotland meets the Hunter Valley once again as Saltire Estate hosts its annual Highland Games this month, an energetic and vibrant celebration of Scottish culture, local wine and family-friendly fun.

Set against rolling vineyards and the backdrop of Lovedale on Saturday 23 August, the event brings together the colour, strength and spirit of traditional Scottish festivities, including pipe band competitions, caber tossing and highland dancing demonstrations.

Kilts, bagpipes and clan pride are all encouraged, with a full program of live music, athletics and entertainment running throughout the day.

Organised by the Hunter Valley Highland Games Management Committee, this incredible extravaganza has grown into a much-anticipated highlight on the Hunter calendar, attracting visitors from across NSW and beyond since 2019.
