Pipe Bands Lead the 2025 City of Perth Salute Military Parade Along Perth High Street in Scotland

The 2025 City of Perth Salute parade along the High Street in Perth, Scotland, on Sunday 10th August 2025. Before the main parade were the veterans of the Riders’ Branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland, then Perth & District Pipe Band, led by Pipe Major Alistair Duthie.

Following were dancers from the Julie Young dance school, then Drum Major Patrick McLinden with the Black Watch Association Pipes & Drums, followed by Drum Major Kirsten Lowther leading the Pipes and Drums of the Black Watch Army Cadet Force, combined with members of Tynecastle Youth Pipe Band, and marching behind were the Black Watch Army Cadets.

The City of Perth Salute is a fantastic free event, which brings the atmosphere of a Tattoo event to Perth City centre. This includes military and civilian bands from across Scotland, a parade through the streets, and an open air, grandstand arena on the North Inch by the river Tay in Perth.
