Field Marshal Montgomery pipe band led by Pipe Major Matthew Wilson and Leading Drummer Willie Glenholmes playing at the European Pipe Band Championship in a blustery Perth on 9 August 2025.

The competition comprised two rounds, a traditional march strathspey and reel set and a freer medley.

This is the band’s medley performance. It comprises the following tunes:

• Lady Madelina Sinclair
• Stirling Castle
• The Highlandman kissed his mother
• Dancing feet
• Frances Morton’s

The competitions were held on Saturday, 9 August 2025 in Perth. Field Marshal Montgomery pipe band were placed second overall in the championships. Full results are at the RSPBA’s website.

The European Championships were organised by Perth and Kinross Council in association with the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association.
