More than 15 bands from Otago and Southland competed in the annual Otago-Southland winter contest in Green Island yesterday (August 1985).

The pipe major of the Alexandra Highland Pipe Band, Keith Cameron, tunes Lynne Clarke’s pipes before the band competes in a medley section of the competitions.
